Goat Yoga
Goat yoga comes to Cresta Roca Farm! We are pleased to offer goat yoga sessions starting May 17, 2026.
Why goat yoga? Cresta Roca Farm has been breeding quality registered Nigerian Dwarf goats for over 10 years. We are active in showing our goats in Canadian Goat Society-sanctioned shows and participate in the major Agricultural Fairs on Vancouver Island. Our goats also appear each year in the Gabriola Fall Fair. Our goats are highly socialized and they thrive with interactions with the public. They have also participated in the annual staff appreciation events at NRGH and are highly regarded by the staff. There is such a therapeutic value that comes from connecting with a goat.
Prices
$44.99 plus GST per person

About the instructor - Linda Mah Ford
Linda Mah Ford was born and raised in Calgary. She and her husband moved to Vancouver Island in 2016 and then decided to settle on beautiful Gabriola Island in 2021. Ever since she was a young girl, Linda has always enjoyed physical activity and for the past 30 years has especially loved running. As a runner, she completed 19 marathons running all over the world (including all 6 World Majors) from 2006-2017.
Always looking for other activities to complement her running (and to eventually replace running), she started doing yoga and pilates. She found that including these activities (while training) was actually a lot easier on the body than full-time running and decided to take the yoga teacher's training course in 2015. She is a certified instructor in both Vinyasa Flow Yoga and High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and has been teaching yoga and HIIT since 2017 during the winters in Loreto, Mexico. Back home during the summer, Linda teaches 3 classes a week via Zoom to her 20-30 yogis who live all over North America.
Linda has created a 60 minute Yang/Yin Flow class that fuses the electricity of flow yoga and the stillness of yin yoga with plenty of opportunities to interact with the baby goats. In this practice, expect to flow through postures in the first half of class to build heat, strength, balance and energy. Then, melt into stillness with restorative stretches… followed by a 30-minute cuddle/photo opportunity with the baby goats.
All levels welcome! Modifications and variations for postures will be explained, allowing each student to enjoy the full benefits of each posture at their speed.

Farm Tours
Cresta Roca Farm is offering farm tours are year round and need to be pre-booked Farm tours are weather dependent. Farm tours can be customized to visitor’s areas of interest. For instance, if you are looking to learn about vermicomposting, the focus can be on this area of interest.
If your interest is in animals and the care and raising of goats, donkeys, chickens, or horses, we are happy to share our knowledge.
Please note that although you will be in contact with the Cresta Roca Farm animals, we are not a petting zoo. The farm animals are utilized in various ways in our farm operation.
