SALES POLICY

Nigerian Dwarf Goats

Animal Health

All goats are guaranteed to be in good health at the time of sale and pickup. Each goat will be vaccinated, tattooed and kids will be on a coccidiosis prevention program. All horned goats will be disbudded and although we will do our best to disbud properly, we cannot guarantee no scurs - especially on bucks.

Once the goat(s) leave our farm, we can no longer guarantee their health due to stress, travel/shipping etc.

Pricing

Pricing is based on pedigree, owner discretion. Prices are non-negotiable

Deposits

We will only take a general interest waitlist. Once the kid is offered, a $200 or deposit will be required within 24 hours or we will move down the list to the next person and your spot will be forfeited. For adults, we require 50% of the total price for the deposit at the time the sale is agreed to. No animal will be considered sold until a deposit is received

Picking up Your Goat

No animal will leave our farm without full payment. We ask for final payment on the day you receive the animal. We encourage pick up at the farm but are able to meet in Nanaimo or other agreed upon locations on Vancouver Island.

Refunds

No refunds will be given on deposits. No refunds will be given on a sale once the animal has left our farm.

Registration

We will send in for registration and/or transfers within 2 weeks of pick up and will cover all costs associated with the process through CLRC.

Transportation

Please have transportation planned out before you place a deposit. We are able to take goats to the Nanaimo airport for a fee and fly them out. The buyer will be responsible for the cost of the flight, the cost of an approved crate and for booking the flight after we have confirmed the time/date that works for us.

Please Note:

We will not sell a single goat to someone who doesn't already have goats. They are herd animals and require a buddy (another goat) for their well being. We prefer to sell goats in pairs to make their transition easier.

The buyer is responsible for having the proper goat housing and fencing in place before purchase. We will do our best to answer any questions a buyer has in regards to feed, minerals, care, but the owner is ultimately responsible for the well being of their goat and so we recommend that they get educated before purchase. We also encourage owners to join their local or provincial goat association as they can receive valuable mentorship.

Once the goat is sold and leaves our farm, we cannot be responsible for any injury, illness or death that occurs. We also unfortunately cannot take any goats back once they leave due to bio-security measures on our farm. We do not guarantee the height of any animals we sell. We do have US lines in our herd.

Cresta Roca Farm has been breeding and showing Nigerian Dwarf goats for more than 10 years. We test our herd annually for CAE/Johne’s diseases
